NBOCWWB awareness campaign held in Old Riphyim village

Wokha, Oct. 15 (EMN): Old Riphyim Village Gazetted Officers’ Forum (ORGOF) organised a three-day awareness campaign and field registration under Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (NBOCWWB) from October 13 to the 15th at Mt. Morashen Hall in Old Riphyim Village under Wokha district.

Speaking at the inaugural function, the chairman of NBOCWWB, Dr. Kekhrie Yhome, informed that 1283 villages have been recognised by the government of Nagaland. Describing India as a welfare state, he stated many schemes are being implemented for social security and benefits of the public.

He encouraged the construction workers to put in effort with sincerity and dedication and also take their profession to greater level in order to attain self-sufficiency.

Also speaking on the occasion, Hachio Patton, senior personal secretary to the deputy chief minister, has expressed gratitude to the department for their tireless effort towards the benefits and welfare of the people.

He informed that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, a particular scheme for the construction workers has been constituted. He called upon the workers to avail the scheme for their benefit.

Delivering the keynote address, T Chubayanger, CEO of NBOCWWB, stated that digital and online facility has been made for easy registration and make it convenient for the unregistered workers. In this regard, he encouraged the unregistered workers to register themselves with complete documentation.

He also reminded the registered workers to renew their registration on time and encouraged the workers to commit in their assigned works with sincerity and dedication.

Short speech was also delivered by Chanbemo Odyuo, president of Englan Range Village Council Union (ERVCU) and the vote of thanks was delivered by Renthungo Tungoe, ORGOF joint secretary.

The three-day campaign and field registration recorded around 280 participants from Englan range.
