Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): History department of Tetso College organises its annual history festival on October 12 on the theme ‘Historia fete: Reimagining the untold narratives.’
An update from the college informed that the formal session began with an invocation said by Akali Sumi, assistant professor of History, followed with a sharing on the festival theme by Dr. Eastrose Miachie, assistant professor of History.
During the formal session, students enacted a traditional Angami folktale followed by a special musical performance and a quiz competition among the students.
The informal session began with a traditional Sumi Naga traditional dance followed by several fun filled performances and competitions. Performances included beat boxing, singing and dance by students of the department. Competitions on war cry or howling challenge, stand-up comedy, and pork fat eating were also organised. A special performance was presented by Tetso alumnus, Vinika Yepthomi.
