Nasa meet: Nasa ‘A’ leads with 61 medals

Kohima, Feb. 2 (EMN): Nasa ‘A’ continues to lead the medal standings of the ongoing Northern Angami Sports Association (Nasa) meet with 61 medals comprising 25 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze on Wednesday in Kohima. 

Nasa ‘C’ are in the second position with two gold, one silver and four bronze. Nasa ‘B’ are in the third spot with eight silver and three bronze while Nasa ‘D’ are yet to open their medal account. 

On day-two on the athletic events conducted at IG Stadium, in men’s discus throw, Vizosietuo Peinyu  (Nasa ‘A) 32.64m, Khrietseizo Khezhie (NASA ‘A’) 32.28m and Neilalie Khro (Nasa ‘C’) 31.55m won first, second and third.

In men’s long jump, Neiketoulie Belho (Nasa ‘A’) 6.63m (new record), Mhasiletuo Yhome (Nasa ‘A’) 6.44m (new report) and Seyievizo Kire (Nasa ‘A’) 6.09m (new record) won first, second and third place respectively.

In men’s, 800m race, Kevise Belho (Nasa ‘A’)2:10.08 min (new record), Thejakhrielie Mechülho (Nasa ‘A’) 2:12.28 min and Noune Solo (Nasa ‘A’) 2:18.13 min secured first, second and third.

In the women’s category, Ruokuosanuo Kire (Nasa ‘A’) 2:47.78 min, Khriezelhounuo Keyho (Nasa ‘A’ ) 2:48.19 min and Neikethonuo Mepfhüo (Nasa ‘B’) 2:55.12 min won  first, second and third respectively.

In the shot put for men,  Seyiekhrietuo Yiese (NASA ‘A’) 11.73m (new record), Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü (NASA ‘A) 11.32m, Keviser Dzüvichü (NASA ‘A’) 10.99m won first, second and third.

In women’s category, Khriesiesanuo Whuorie (NASA ‘A’) 8.64m,  Kelhousenuo Khruomo (Nasa ‘A’) 7.98m and Luolakhrienuo Ciesotsu (Nasa ‘C’) 7.91m secured first, second and third respectively.

In men’s 100m race, Neiketoulie Belho (Nasa ‘A’) 11.26 Sec (new record), Kevichutuo Lhoungu (Nasa ‘B’) 11.53 sec (new record) and Seyievizo Kire (Nasa ‘A’) 11.97 sec won first, second and third respectively.

In women’s event, Dziesengunuo Solo (Nasa ‘A’) 14.28 sec, Akhrienuo Linyü (Nasa ‘A’) 14.41 sec and Dziesekuonuo Linyü (Nasa ‘A’) 14.88 sec secured first, second and third respectively.

In men’s 200m race, Neiketoulie Belho (Nasa ‘A’) 23.09 sec (new record), Kevichülie Lhoungu (Nasa ‘B’) 23.63 sec and Mhasiletuo Yhome (Nasa ‘A’) 24.63 sec came in first, second and third respectively.

In women’s javelin throw, Kevimesanuo Sote (Nasa ‘A’) 20.54m, Viphre-u Lhoungu (NASA ‘B’) 20.48m and Khrietuozonuo Yhor (Nasa ‘C’) 20.18m secured first, second and third respectively.

In women’s high jump, Kevineinuo Khro (Nasa ‘C’) 1.35m won first position, Kelhousinuo Sorünuo (NASA ‘C’) 1.30m secured second while Dziesengunuo Solo and Ruokuosanuo Sachü (Nasa ‘A’) 1.25m jointly shared third position title.

In women’s 3000m race, Khriezelhounuo Keyho (Nasa ‘A’) 13:01.15 min, Dziesekuonuo Linyü (NASA ‘A’) 13:07.29 min and Ruokuosanuo Kire (Nasa ‘A’) 13:07.69 min secured first, second and third respectively.

In men’s, 4x100m relay, Neiketoulie Belho, Keneitseizo Belho, Seyievizo Kire and Meguozotuo Solo from NASA ‘A’ bagged first position with a performance of 45.00 sec (new record) while Kevichutuo Lhoungu, Kevilezo Mezhier, Khrieketou Theünuo and Neihezo Medom from Nasa ‘B’ secured second position at 47.91 sec.

In women’s event, Dzüziengunuo Linyü, Pelekhonuo Mepfhüo, Akhrienuo Linyü and Dziesekuonuo Linyü (Nasa ‘A’) 57.22m (new record) won the first position.

Pelekhonuo Zhale, Neikethonuo Mepfhüo, Keneilenuo Kesitsu and Mhasikhonuo Paünuo (Nasa ‘B’) 1:00.72 min secured second position.

 In women’s 200m race, Akhrienuo Linyü (Nasa ‘A’) 30.07 sec, Rüduolhounuo Belho (Nasa ‘A’) 30.22 sec and Kelhouneinuo Rutsa (Nasa ‘A’) 31.00 sec won first, second and third respectively.

In men’s 5000m race, Kevise Belho (Nasa ‘A’) 18:37.82 min (new record), Thejakhrielie Mechülho (Nasa ‘A’)18:37.90 min (new record) and Lhouvisalie Mere (Nasa ‘A’) 18:40.35 min secured first, second and third.

The games event will start on February 3 from 9 am onwards at IG Stadium and will go on till the 4th, while Naga wrestling event will take place on February 5 at Khuochiezhie (Kohima local ground).
