Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): The Rising People’s Party (RPP) on Wednesday informed that the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench has issued an order directing the state government and the principal director of School Education “to allow online admission to unvaccinated students in Class 9 and above, and also to allow them to attend classes, provided they come tested with RT PCR”.

Justice S Serto and Justice Kakheto Sema of Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, had issued the order on Wednesday after the RPP challenged the government’s Jan. 8 order through a PIL, according to the party’s press release.

The state government had stated in its recent directive that ‘students studying in Class 9 and above, who have completed 15 years of age and taken at least first dose Covid vaccine, will be allowed to take admission, or attend regular/offline classes’.

On this, the court stated that the government should re-examine the order “keeping in view the situation in the state and its implications”, the party stated, while appealing to school and college authorities to strictly adhere to the court order.
