An update from the university stated that the programme began with an invocation prayer said by Fr. Augustine (MMI), while the welcome address was delivered by Heli, coordinator of SJU Youth Red Cross. The presidential address was delivered by the registrar, Dr. Setupathy, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Patrick, coordinator of SJU Youth Red Cross.

It stated that Ajay Sethi has administered the pledge to Youth Red Cross members and concluded with singing of the university anthem presented by the students of Political Science.

In the second session, Ajay Sethi and Kuldeep Jain encouraged Youth Red Cross members to actively participate in rendering their service to the communities in need, organise medical camps, and create awareness on peace.

Ajay Sethi has urged the members to create a sub-committee under Youth Red Cross and undertake community services on road safety, blood donation, child care etc.

Kuldeep Jain has stressed on the roles and responsibilities of Youth Red Cross members and encouraged them to spare their time on community services. He also called upon the students to cultivate habits of humanitarian service without expecting anything in return.
