Nagaland reports 73 new Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

Dimapur, Aug. 1 (EMN): Nagaland reported 73 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the active caseload to 1344 and total tally to 27,945.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima reported 39 cases, Dimapur 17, Mokokchung nine, Phek three, and one each in Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Tuensang and Wokha.
Meanwhile, the state also reported 51 recoveries in the last 24 hours, out of which 21 were recorded in Kohima, 13 each in Dimapur and Mokokchung, and four in Phek.
The Covid-19 death toll in the state stands at 556 out of which four deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
India reports 41k new cases
India on Sunday reported 41,831 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the active caseload to 4,10,952, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
It said that the death toll from Covid-19 stands at 4,24,351 with 541 more fatalities reported in the last 24 hours.
Cumulatively, 47,02,98,596 vaccine doses have been administered through 55,71,565 sessions while 60,15,842 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
It added that 3,08,20,521 people have recovered from Covid-19 while 39,258 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
