Nagaland records 92 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death on Friday; tally rises to 27116

Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 27,116 as 92 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported on Friday.

The state also reported one death in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 523 while the state’s recoveries stand at 24,571 with 77 more patients having recovered. 

The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 92 new cases detected on Friday, Kohima reported the highest at 33, followed by Dimapur at 24, 12 in Mokokchung, eight in Mon, five in Wokha, four in Kiphire, three in Tuensang, two in Phek, and one in Peren.

The state also recorded 77 recoveries, out of which 24 were in Kohima, 20 in Dimapur, eight in Zunheboto, seven in Mon, six in Longleng, five in Mokokchung, four in Wokha, two in Peren and, one in Tuensang.

Nagaland currently has 1251 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 969 are asymptomatic, 216 mild, 31 moderate on oxygen, 17 severe on oxygen, eight in ICU without ventilator, and 10 in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 475 patients, 344 in Dimapur, 219 in Mokokchung, 40 in Tuensang, 36 in Longleng, 30 in Kiphire, 29 in Phek, 27 in Wokha, 23 in Peren, 19 in Mon, and nine in Zunheboto.
