Nagaland records 80 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Dimapur, Aug. 31 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 30,083 as 80 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Tuesday.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 80 new positive cases detected on Tuesday, 56 were in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, six in Mon, four in Mokokchung, and three in Phek.
The state’s death toll rose to 606 with three fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, while the total recoveries increased to 27,762 after 27 patients recuperated.
On Tuesday, nine patients recovered in Dimapur, seven in Kohima, six in Mokokchung, two each in Peren and Phek, and one in Mon.
Nagaland currently has 815 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 631 are asymptomatic, 128 mild, 12 moderate on oxygen, 22 severe on oxygen, 10 in ICU without ventilator, and 12 in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 337 cases, followed by Kohima with 185, 156 in Mokokchung, 33 in Mon, 31 in Phek, 28 in Zunheboto, 17 in Wokha, 10 in Longleng, nine in Kiphire, seven in Tuensang, and two in Peren.
30941 new cases in India
India reported 30,941 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday, pushing the tally to 3,27,68,880, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
It said that the death toll climbed to 4,38,560 with 350 fresh fatalities.
Meanwhile, active cases declined to 3,70,640 after 36,275 more patients recuprated in the last 24 hours.
It stated that India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 64.05 crore (64,05,28,644).
