NSCN/GPRN(K) mourns

DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN(K) has expressed its condolences on the death of George Sangtam, Razou Peyu of the United Sangtam Region (USR) of Chemonger village in Tuensang district, who died on Sunday at Civil Hospital Tuensang. In a note, the group mentioned that Sangtam first joined NNC, N/A, and later joined NSCN/GPRN(K)  on April 20, 2023. It stated that in his demise, the Naga nation has lost one of the most dedicated and respected officers. The Khango-led NSCN (K) expressed its sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

AR distributes solar lights

DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles distributed nine solar lights at Phomching, Mon district, as part of the ‘Illuminate Lives for a Brighter Future’ campaign in collaboration with Sunbird Trust and Schneider Electric. According to a press release, the village authorities and locals expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Assam Rifles and Sunbird Trust for undertaking such an initiative and bringing light into their lives.

NSCN (IM) suspends

DIMAPUR — Tingngam Konyak, Tatar, Konyak Region, has been placed under indefinite suspension by the NSCN (IM) for his involvement in the July 31 incident in Tizit town. According to a press release issued by the Secretary to the Yaruiwo, NSCN (IM), the suspension order was issued in response to the recommendation forwarded by the competent authority and the decision of the Collective Leadership.
