Dimapur, June 7 (EMN): Nagaland Medicine Dealers’ Association (NMDA) has appreciated the decision of Nagaland Governor, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, for issuing a comprehensive notification with stringent directives for removal of toll gates and illegal collection of money at check gates throughout the state.

“The setting up of control room manned with 24×7 helpline numbers and setting up of inspection teams in all the districts with prominent signages in all the check gates are truly commendable,” NMSA joint secretary Arjit Sharma stated.

It stated that the move has helped in frequent and fast mobility of essential goods including medicines and life saving drugs across the state besides impacting on the downfall in the prices of essential and non-essential commodities.

In the interest of the public, NMDA appealed to all the concerned authorities not to re-setup such gates but to support the government and strictly oppose any kind of illegal collection at the gates. Stating that NMDA has always stood beside the public, it further assured to keep serving people by reaching medicines in every corner of the state in every situation.
