Nagaland: Haiying inaugurates hall in New Pangsha Village
Dimapur, May 19 (EMN): Advisor of Prisons, Printing and Stationery, H Haiying, inaugurated a community-cum-multipurpose hall in New Pangsha village under Noklaka district on May 19.
Speaking at the inaugural function, H Haiying, stated that development would gradually come only when the people unite and cooperate with the government. Haiying has appreciated all the stakeholders, leaders, elders, and construction workers for the successful completion of the building and urged them to take ownership of the building.
Seeing the potential of International Trade Centre (ITC) Dan, Haiying mentioned that communication was important to progress in every sphere.
Also speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner of Noklak, Hiazu Meru, expressed hope that ITC Dan would become the gateway under the Look East Policy/ Act East Policy. He, therefore, requested all to give full cooperation to the government and get all benefits.
President of Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) M Thangou; head GB of New Pangsha, Pape; village council chairman of Noklak village, Panpan; head GB of Wonsoi, Putchong; and village council chairman of Pangsha Old, L Thango also spoke during the programme.
Pastor of Wolam Nyukyan Baptist Church, T Tsuno, said the dedicatory prayer of the building, while the welcome address was delivered by VCM of New Pangsha, P Shingnya and the vote of thanks was delivered by VCC of New Pangsha, Pencho.
The programme was also attended by Major Rajat Yadav, 45th Assam Rifles at Dan post, who contributed 100 plastic chairs and 5 plastic tables under the MCA project towards the multipurpose hall.
