Dimapur, Sep. 4 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended greetings to all the teachers, especially in the state on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.

In his message, Ravi expressed his gratitude to the teachers for “serving the people, the society, and the nation with their extraordinary services”.

“With their dedication they are constantly shaping the young and dynamic minds of our future generations – endowing them with intellectual heft and help imbibing needed ethical values,” the message read.

‘A teacher’s roles and responsibilities transcend the classroom teaching. Their personal and social conducts in day to day life inspire, aspire, and shape the overall personality of students and help them become ideal citizens,’ it added, while urging the teachers to re-dedicate themselves with renewed resolve to the service of the nation.

Rio expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those in the teaching community for the pivotal role they played in the life of every student.

“A teacher’s influence is forever imprinted in every student and it manifests itself throughout his life. Indeed, we should be ever grateful to our teachers for providing academic, spiritual and emotional guidance,” read his message.

He said that he was much encouraged to see teachers adapting to the new norms of imparting online education during the pandemic, to ensure the academic life of students do not suffer.

While congratulating all the recipients of the Teachers’ Awards across the state, he also wished success, wisdom and good health to all the teachers.
