Nagaland Covid update: 148 new cases pushes tally to 10608

Dimapur, Nov. 20 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has increased to 10608 as 148 new cases were detected on Friday.
The minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, has informed through an update that out of 148 new Covid cases, 138 were detected in Dimapur, eight in Kohima and one each in Mon and Tuensang.
The minister added that 97 patients — Dimapur- 79, Kohima-8, Mon-6, and Mokokchung-4 — have recovered.
According to an update from the Health department, out of 1340 active Covid cases in the state, 1297 are asymptomatic, 23 mild, 11 moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen, four critical without oxygen and two critical cases on ventilator.
The state has also recorded 9104 recoveries so far and 56 deaths, out of which six have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur leads with 781 cases, followed by Kohima-337, Peren-155, Mon-28, Tuensang-27, Phek-7, Mokokchung-3, and one each in Kiphire and Zunheboto, while Longleng and Wokha have zero cases.
