Nagaland Covid-19 update: 48 new cases detected

Dimapur, July 30 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 48 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 1561.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, on July 30.

“Tested 516 samples for Covid-19, out of which 48 cases came out positive. 32 cases in Dimapur and 16 in Kohima. All contact tracing are fully activated for all safety,” the minister tweeted.

According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 961 Covid-19 cases, 595 recoveries and four deaths.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 436 active cases, followed by Kohima – 316, Mon – 138, Peren – 30, Phek – 13, eight each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto, Wokha – 7, Tuensang – 4, and Longleng – 1. Kiphire hasn’t recorded any cases so far.
