Dimapur, March 28 (EMN): Child Friendly Dimapur (AIDA) organised a three-day capacity building  training programme for the child rights facilitators on March 18, 19 and 25 at AIDA conference hall, Don Bosco Campus, Dimapur.

An update from AIDA stated that child rights facilitators (CRF) from Zeliangrong, K Sachu, Kashiram, Signal Angami, Veterinary, Neisatuo Colony and Chümoukedima attended the programme. The training was organised to enhance the capacities of child rights facilitators to appreciate the uniqueness of the children and deal with them effectively.

During the training period, the resource persons stressed on topics such as ‘Art of negotiating with children,’ ‘Dream of child friendly Dimapur-Chümoukedima,’ ‘Roles and responsibilities of CRF,’ ‘Appreciating uniqueness of the individual,’ ‘Facilitation skills,’ ‘Problem solving skills,’ ‘Basic rights of the children,’ ‘AIDA’s child protection policy,’ ‘Principles and values of child protection work.’

It stated that all the participants were enriched in understanding the role of a facilitator. They were further motivated to inculcate the skills and knowledge to work resourcefully towards realising the dream of child friendly activities in reality.
