Naga woman among top 25 designers in Los Angeles
An interior designer from Nagaland has been named among the “top 25 designers in Los Angeles” by Los Angeles Times.
Seyie Putsure, founder of Seyie Design, took to social media on Monday to share about it via a short video with the caption “Grateful to be named alongside the ‘top 25 designers in L.A.’, by @latimes.”
According to updates on her Instagram page, the interior designer founded her firm — Seyie Design — in 2007, and eventually grown internationally to include luxury residences and hospitality environments, such as high-end salons, spas and retail.
A report by Los Angeles Times stated that Putsure was introduced to the fine arts and architecture at an early age, and after college, she entered the world of high-style in the heart of the New York and Paris international fashion scenes. It said she has also worked for fashion houses including CHANEL and Dolce & Gabbana among others.
The other names in the top 25 interior designers list included: Vannesa Alexander, Jake Arnold, Chris Barret, Jennifer Miller, César Giraldo, Sophie Goineau, Lars Oliver Hypko, Rebecca Jonston, Kerry Joyce, Jamie King, Noah Walker, Michael Kovac, Pete Lau, Kate Lester, Jennifer Milller, Lynda Murray, David Montalba, Christina Nickerson, Jae Omar, Kishani Perera, Brigette Romanek, Ryan Sanghian, Stefani Stein, May Sung and Mary Ta.
Minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Nagaland, Temjen Imna Imna also took to Twitter to congratulate her.
“Congratulations to Seyie Putsure, a Los Angeles, US, based interior designer from Nagaland, on being named as one of the ‘Top 25 Designers in Los Angeles by The @latimes’. A proud moment for the whole state,” he tweeted.
