DIMAPUR — Naga Chef Season 10, the premier culinary competition in Nagaland, commenced at the State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Dimapur, on Thursday.
Organised by Synergy Group Enterprise and supported by the department of Tourism, Naga Chef aims to promote Naga indigenous cuisine and provide a platform for aspiring Naga chefs, according to a press release.
Fourteen participants who were chosen after the screening round will now be tested on both their culinary and entrepreneurial skills throughout the competition.
Alemjungla Jamir, founder of Naga Bowl Express, Indranil Roychowdhary, principal SIHM, and Sentila T Yanger, Padma Shri awardee and state convener of the INTACH Nagaland Chapter, served as judges in the first round.
The winner of Naga Chef Season 10 will receive a cash prize of INR 3 lakh.
