N Hazari polo tournament: Tentha down Ibudhou Marjing 8-1

Imphal, Oct. 23 (EMN): Tentha Polo defeated Ibudhou Marjing 8-1 at the ongoing 6th edition of the N Hazari and Dr. N Tombi State Polo tournament on Sunday here at Mapal Kangjeibung, the oldest living polo ground in the world, located in the heart of Imphal town.
In the second match, Arbin Polo beat Khurai Polo team 7-1.
Earlier, the state-level polo tournament was inaugurated by sitting MLA Karam Shyam Singh in presence of president of Manipur Horse Riding & Polo Association (MHRPA), H Deleep Singh.
In the opening match of the tournament, KLMM Riding Singjamei trounced Paradise Polo Club, Wangkhei, 9 – 2.
Altogether, 29 teams are participating in the polo competition.
