Mount Mary College students debate on the essence of Adhaar

Dimapur, August 20 (EMN): Department of Political Science of Mount Mary College organised a Student’s Parliament in its college hall on August 17, in which students debated on Adhaar Card: whether Adhaar card should be made mandatory for all official purposes or not.
The participating students were divided into two parties. The ruling party and collate of opposition MPs. The bill was heatedly debated and was put out for voice vote by the speaker to which the house as a whole participated and voted against the bill.
At the end of the programme Dr. M Chuba Ao, chairman of Mount Mary Academy, declared the name of the best speaker and concluded the programme.
Meanwhile, Mount Mary College celebrated its 6th Fresher’s Day on August 18 with Thejavizo Nakhro, EAC, Chumukedima, as the chief guest.
Chingba and Miss Esther were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher’s of Mount Mary College.
