WCYO: The Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) has strongly condemned the assassination attempt on the life of the prominent entrepreneur and proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage, L Doulo by some cadres of the NSCN (K) after serving two taxation slips by the same group.
Stating that Duolo is a humble businessman who believe in ‘work and eat’ policy and is an inspiring and fatherly figure to the youth, its community and to the Nagas at large, the union expressed shock and condemned the intention of the alleged cadres to murder a fatherly figure.
A press release from the union president, Likalo Letro and the Media cell, questioned the credibility of NSCN (K) for demanding money and goes to the extent of attempt murder in the name of nation’s freedom. Therefore, the organization appealed to all NGOs and civil society to condemn such dastardly and cowardice act before any more citizens becomes a victim to them.
The WCYO urged upon the law enforcing agencies to investigate the matter thoroughly by taking appropriate action without delay. The youth organisation also cautioned that it will have no option but will be forced to take its own course of action if the law enforcing agencies do not bring justice to the victim.
“WCYO sternly warns that the organization would not remain mere spectators and would not tolerate such kind of barbaric act upon any members of its community or Nagas to be precise, and asserted that if any harm is done to Mr L. Doulo in the future than those two persons mentioned in the slip as Akaho Jimo, Brigadier Finance in Charge of Dimapur and Khumutsa Naga Finance Secy. of NSCN K would be held fully responsible,” the press release added.
The WCYO also conveyed message in strongest term that it shall not allow any gun wielding social parasite to roam freely who are a threat to society’s peaceful environment and human progress and has no place in a civilised society.
ACAUT Wokha unit: The Wokha Unit of ACAUT along with frontal organisation of Wokha district vehemently condemned the life attempt made on one respectable citizen.
While condemning the act, the unit stated that “enough is enough, now the Nagas will no more keep silent on any anti social elements.”
In a condemnation note from the unit co convenor, Cyrus James Tungoe, stated that the NSCN (K) should not be interested only in taxing and extorting its own people and thereby making the good cause of fighting for freedom more horrible and making just a nightmare. The NSCN (K) should nab those main culprits and take exemplary action at the earliest, the press release added.
The unit also demanded the law enforcing agencies to book those culprits and award befitting punishment as per the law of the land.
CRPOK: The Chizami Range Public Organisation Kohima (CRPOK) has vehemently condemned the life attempt on the proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage Dimapur, L Doulo.
“The CRPO Kohima is surprised to hear that the national workers, namely NSCN (K), went to the extent of attempting life on such an elderly local businessman in the name of demanding tax for the national caus. Had there been no God, his life wouldn’t be here now. For which gratification is given to God. The CRPO Kohima wishes him long life,” the press release stated.
ZUD: The Zhavame Union Dimapur (ZUD) has expressed shock and condemned the life attempt on the proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage, L Doulo by five NSCN (K) members on Sep. 18.
The union said everyone should join and unite together to expunge the evils in the society before it is too late.
ZUD further urged the concerned authority to book the culprits at the earliest and punish according to the law.
TSUD: The Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has vehemently condemned the dastardly act of NSCN-K perpetuate upon the life of the proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage, L Doulo, on Sep. 18.
The TSUD urged upon the responsible authorities to leave no stone unturned in arresting the culprits, who are involved in anti social activities under the guise of national workers.
TSUD also expressed pain to observe anti-social elements in the society. The union also appealed to the law enforcing agencies to ensure that the culprits are arrested so that the citizens feel safe under their security.
NBAK: The Naga Business Association Kohima (NBAK) has strongly condemned the life attempt of Naga entrepreneur and proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage, L Duolo by some gunmen purportedly belonging to the NSCN (K) on Sep. 182017 at Dimapur.
The NBAK members which comprises of only genuine Naga businessmen and entrepreneur look upon a person like Duolo as an inspiration and encouragement for any Naga in the field of business. Therefore, life attempt by the Naga outfit to such a person is highly questionable and have no place for the development of the Naga society, the press release from NBAK Media Cell stated.
“While the economic development of the Naga society is at stake particularly in the business field, it is often heard that our own Naga brethren’s threatening the life of our Naga business community. Such incidents of threatening and extortion are one of the biggest loopholes where we can never encourage each other to grow like any other civilized society,” the release added.
The NBAK has appealed the upright law enforcing agency to book the culprits and also provide safety to the Naga business community.
Meanwhile, the NBAK appreciated and welcome the six NNPGs announcing that it will not levy tax to the Naga business community. The association further urged upon other Naga groups to also encourage and support the struggling Naga business community for the progress and development of the Naga society.
