Mon legislators inspect Konyak Morung in Kisama
DIMAPUR — As the days drew closer for the annual Hornbill Festival scheduled from December 1 to the 10th, a team of Legislators from Mon district led by Health minister, P Paiwang Konyak, inspected the Konyak Morung at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama on Thursday.
Members of the Konyak Union Kohima (KUK), who were at the site (Konyak Morung), briefed the legislators on the present status and the need to beautify the Morung, stated an update from the press secretary to the minister.
Following the inspection, the legislators were of the view that the Morung requires maximum renovation including toilets. Besides the requirement placed by KUK members, the legislators assured to extend all possible help and to cooperate towards the success of the festival.
The minister was accompanied by advisor of DUDA, W Chingang Konyak, MLA A Nyamnyei Konyak, MLA Y Mankhao Konyak, and MLA C Manpon Konyak.
