Minority vote share increased after NDA came to power— BJP leader

Dimapur, June 6 (EMN): The minority vote share increased from 16.8% in 2014 to 23% in 2019 after the NDA government came to power, according to national executive member of Minority Morcha BJP, Pratik Edwin Sharma.

Sharma stated this during the book launching cum minority outreach programme ‘Seva, Sushasan aur Gareeb Kalyan Parv’ organised by BJP Minority Morcha Nagaland on Monday at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur.

Sharma stated that from 2014 to 2022, the NDA government has focused on the development and welfare of the people with the slogan, “sabka saath, sabka vikas aur sakba vishwas” and brought about lots of developments in the country.

He said that the four pillars of the NDA government led by PM Modi were four “N’s” -Niyat (intention), Niyam (principles), Niti (planning) and Narendra Modi.

Under the BJP government, he said several schemes were made for the minority community in the country. Under Ujjwala 2.0 scheme, around 8 crore women have benefitted and the percentage of minorities is 37.8%, he added.

Moreover, under Mudra Yojana, 31 crore people have availed loans, out of which 36% were minorities. He added that in eight years, 5.5 crore minorities have received benefits from various schemes of the government.

Sharma also mentioned that during the pandemic lockdown in March 2020, the government helped in bringing back home around 90 lakh children from various countries, stating that PM Modi arranged special flights to bring back stranded children.

He also highlighted the success of vaccination in the country, stating that Covid vaccines were provided free of cost. At the event, speeches were delivered by president of Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland, Deep Kumar and vice president of Minority Morcha BJP Nagaland, Brij Kishore Rai.
