Sainik School Punglwa Annual Inter-House Football Championship 2016-17 concluded on 13th April 2016 with Melak House lifting the trophy. Lt Col Jitendra Dogra, Officiating Principal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the certificates and the trophy. Saramati and Tizu Houses finished second and third respectively.
The Championship which began on 4th April 2016 was played under two categories ; Sub-Junior and Junior, in each category six houses vying for the trophy gave in their best to win. In the Junior category the final match was played between Melak and Saramati in which the Saramatians won by a solitary goal. In the Sub-Junior final which was played between Japfu and Melak, Japfu House won the match 2-0. Cadet Pema Gyatsan and Cadet Apong Walling were adjudged the best players in Sub Junior and Junior Category respectively.
