Medical proprietor donates masks for the needy

Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): More than 10,000 triple-ply face masks were donated to the representatives from Dimapur District GBs’ Association (DDGBA), GBs’ Union Dimapur (GBUD), Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) and Dimapur District Village Council Chairmen Association (DDVCCA) for distribution to the poor and the needy citizens of Dimapur by Basu Damani on behalf of Medico, Dimapur, on May 23.

The organisations have lauded Basu Damani, proprietor of Medico, Dimapur, and his family for generously contributing towards the needy people of the society. The masks were handed over by the president of Nagaland Medicine Dealer Association (NMDA), Ato Yepthomi.

While praying for an early end to Covid-19 pandemic, Damani stated that his family decided to donate the face masks through the organisations to supplement the administration led by the deputy commissioner and police department led by the commissioner of police, Dimapur.

Damani added that GBs and the village council chairmen are equally important in distributing the essential commodities to the poor and the needy people at grassroots. Thanking the organisations for taking responsibility in distributing the face masks, Damani assured them of any possible assistance in the fight against the Covid-19.

He informed that the face masks were genuine with upper and lower layer material as well as an inner layer for air filtration with nose pin and elastic ear strings. He further stated that if any social organisations require such masks, his team could arrange it at a subsidised rate. He added that medical association could arrange medicines for villages.

On the occasion, around 50 face masks each were also provided to the media houses.
