WDBA informs on badminton tourney
Dimapur: The Wokha District Badminton Association (WDBA) has informed all intending participants in the 37th Inter-District & Open Badminton Championship to confirm the number of participants of each district and inform Shaying Sheu, EAC and Convener Accommodation Committee (9856034015) at the earliest for making necessary arrangements. In case of any inconvenience that may arise due to lack of prior information, the WDBA would not bear the responsibility whatsoever, stated a press note. The association has also informed all participants/teams to bring light bedding and wear Non-marking badminton shoes (preferably) while playing in the matted courts.
NCA to hold chess championship
Dimapur: The Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) is tentatively scheduled its 13th Nagaland State “A” Championship 2013 from August 20 to 24 at kohima.
The NCA has therefore inform All the top 20 players, Ranking top 4 players 2012 and top16th players recently qualified 2013 to confirm their participation on or before August 16. Failing to confirm within the stipulated time will lead to cancellation of your participation and will be replaced by the nearest ranking wise as per the NCA norms.

T20 Open Cricket from August 23
Dimapur: Twenty20 Open Cricket Championship, organized by the Wotsami Brothers under the theme, “Aspire Together, Achieve Together” will be held at Xelhozhe Public Ground from August 23 to 31 with. As per the Event Co-ordinator, the tournament will be played with limited intake of team/club on first come first serve basis. The team securing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.50, 000/-, Rs. 25, 000/-, Rs.10, 000/- and Rs.5000/- respectively. Individual cash prizes will also be awarded. There will be a cash prize for the man of the match in every match.
Interested team/club and cricket lovers can collect the entry form from United Sports, Kiran Sports at church road, CM Bazaar at 4th Mile and Centre Point at Old Showuba.
