Dimapur, March 6 (EMN):
Commending the humanitarian services undertaken by the Lions Club across the globe, the International director of Lions Club, Dr. Nawal J Mallu, called upon the members to remain active in such activities till their last breath.

Mallu stated this in his address during the 42nd annual district conference of Lions Club held at the premises of Lions Club Dimapur on Saturday.

“During the last year of pandemic we have converted challenges into opportunities and we are really proud of it,” he said while inaugurating the Lions Centre Leo Park. The theme of the conference was AMAN which stands for Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

While reminding that “Nothing is impossible if we work hard”, he requested the club presidents to work hard so that their ‘labours’ would be remembered by posterity. In this regard, he appreciated the district governors for their hard work despite many obstacles in carrying out their responsibilities.

Also stating that every member is important in the club, he encouraged them to continue with their respective responsibilities towards serving humanity.

“We have to participate in multiple forums and conventions and we have to get motivated and also motivate the other members,” Mallu said adding, “We are all ambassadors and we have to perform our best. It is not the job you do, but how you do, and what you can do for this work. We have to be active and should focus on our organisation.”

On the occasion, peace poster awards were given away by Lalit Kothari, while Karamyogi award was given by PDG NC Karnani.
