With reference to the subject cited above, we the undersigned for and on behalf of the Vidima Village Council would like to lay down the following few lines before your esteemed authority for your kind perusals and immediate necessary actions please.
That Sir, as stated herein above that the contract work for construction of Sub-Centre at Vidima Village which was routed through your department was allotted to some unscrupulous contractor which was executed by a lady none other then who was outrightly rejected and discarded by the Village Council for her insolent attitude towards the Village Council. It is pertinent to mention herein that the Village Council had donated a huge area of land to the Department not only for the Sub-Centre but also for future development for the welfare of the villagers in particular and the public in general. However, it is saddened to mention here that in contrary to the expectations of the villagers the said project was carried out by the said contractor at its own will without following any specifications and nonns given by your Department. Further, it is observed by the Village Council that the construction work was carried out in the middle of the donated land which will ultimately obstruct the future developmental works in the area and moreover the workmanship and the material used for the construction are below standard.
Be it further stated that it is learnt from the reliable sources that the fund earmarked for the construction work is about Rs. 23, 00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Three Lakhs) only but to the utter shock and surprised to the Village Council that the fund allotted for the said construction work was only Rs.13,00,000/- (Rupees Thirteen Lakhs) only.
In view of the above your kind authority is earnestly requested to take immediate action against the contractor and the erring departmental officials before the issue flare up between the contractor and the Village Council.
Further, it is also requested that the remaining balance amount may not be released to the concern contractor till the issue is amicably resolved.
