THE NPF central women wing has expressed deep pain and anguish at the burning of party President Dr.Shurhozelie Liezietsu’s effigy and portrait by NPF Mokokchung division, stating that burning of effigy was alien to Naga culture and unheard of in Naga history.
NPF central women wing general secretary Sapralu Nyekha in a release said, ”Cursing the party president for dissolution of Mokokchung division parent body is a grave misdeed and a disgrace on themselves as the decision is not a one-man show but a collective decision from the party central office.”
Women wing has also appealed to all rank and file of the NPF party to stay grounded and remain loyal and refrain from committing any action that would be detrimental to the party at any point of time. The central women wing further prayed for good health, wisdom and divine strength to the president, and stated that they would always abide by the decision of the party with absolute trust in the wisdom of the party president as nothing can go wrong with fatherly figure, heading and steering the party as the captain of the victorious ship.
Immaturity and regrettable: NPF Peren
NPF Peren division has expressed shock at the unfortunate incident which took place in Mokokchung division office.
A release issued by NPF Peren division president Dennis Elung and general secretary Kauring said, the action of the Mokokchung division president and colleagues showed immaturity and is regrettable. “Such thoughtless action has no place in a civilized society. Blaming an individual and the drastic step of Mokokchung division even going to the extent of burning effigy and portrait of Dr.Shurhozelie Liezietsu, President NPF Central is rustic and condemnable.”
“As it is human wants are unlimited, it’s only through talks one can come into terms. Though wants are insatiable sometimes one has to be satisfied with needs for the welfare of the general good.”
Abide by leader’s decision: NPF Tuensang
NPF Tuensang division also expressed dismay over the incident by Mokokchung division, stating that the culture was alien to Nagas. Condemning the act, a release by unit president S.Lusang appealed to all the party workers across the state to abide by the decision taken by leader’s wisdom.
