Law enforcement personnel sensitised on legal procedure

Dimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): A programme under the theme “Legal sensitisation programme for Police officers and law enforcement personnel” was organised by the Zunheboto District Legal Services Authority (ZDLSA) at the SP conference hall in Zunheboto on Sep. 10.

According to an update from the legal authority, civil judge and secretary of the ZDLSA, Atoka Achumi spoke on the salient features of Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, Evidence Act and the Information Technology Act at the programme.

He also presented a special case study on latest aspects of criminal case law in the country and landmark judgments of the Supreme Court.

Police personnel were sensitised on the special legal provisions relating to juveniles, women and children, and the issues faced by the police officers.
The participants were apprised of the court procedures.
