KVK Kohima conducts training on Kharif crops, livestock

DIMAPUR — A day-long training-cum-interaction programme on Kharif crops and livestock was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kohima, on March 21 at Botsa village, Kohima district.

The objective of the event was the exchange of views and experiences directly with farmers on various challenges in agriculture and allied sectors, an update stated.

Topics on integrated farming system for enhancing livelihoods and citrus rejuvenation were imparted through visual mode presentation during the first part of technical session

The session aimed to equip farmers with innovative techniques to improve crop yield and livestock health.

During the interaction session, discussions also focused on animal health care, timely vaccination, routine deworming in livestock, and integrated pest management for Kharif crops.

Additionally, advises on Kharif crops and livestock were also given to the participants.

Dr. Paihem Michui, ACTO (Animal Science), and Eliseni Tsopoe, SMS (Plant Protection), the resource persons, shared their insights with the attendees.

Altogether, 25 farmers and farmwomen benefitted from the programme, the update stated.
