Kuhuboto orgs demand redress for poor infrastructure

Dimapur, July 24 (EMN): Community organisations in Kuhuboto in Dimapur are protesting to the authorities for what they allege is the “sub-standard / poor workmanship and to with held payment in connection with construction of computer building at Government High School” in Kuhuboto town.
The Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization and the Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students’ Union issued a [press release each, on stated issued, on Monday.
The organisations addressed the statements to the deputy commissioner of Dimapur and the ‘The state mission director, Kohima.’
‘As per the complaint received from various quarters with complaint against poor workmanship and sub-standard construction of computer building at government high school, Kuhuboto town, the Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization along with Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students’ Union had a surprise visit at the construction site on dated 04 July 2017 and found out the poor workmanship / sub-standard work…’ the press release from the public organisation stated.
The organizations are ‘not at all satisfied’ with the ongoing works, the statement declared.
‘We have already submitted a compliant letter to Mission Director, RMSA, Kohima, Nagaland through DEO Dimapur dated 04th July 2017 but so far…have not been any response from the department,’ the group stated.
The Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization has requested the authorities to “immediately stop the construction work” and withhold all payments in connection with the construction of the ‘computer building’ at said high school ‘until proper technical estimate is being provided to the administration and KGPO.’
Another press release, from the Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students’ Union, was addressed to the ‘state mission director Kohima,’ stating the matter.
The students declared in the press release: ‘We the Kuhuboto area frontal organisations (Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students’ Union and Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organisation) comprising 23 villages and one town had a surprise visit at the construction site on date 04 July 2017 and found out the poor workmanship and sub-standard work and the organization are not at all satisfied with the on-going work, for which we are request your concern authority to look into this matter immediately.’
