Dimapur, May 22 : The Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) has served an ultimatum to BSNL Dimapur against non-functional of its service at Noklak sub-division despite repeated appeals.
The ultimatum addressed to the General Manager, BSNL Dimapur, Nagaland observed that the authority concerned has intentionally neglected and isolated the grievances of the area people.
“Since the installation in the year 2002, the problem of network remains the same till date. Mere installation of tower without functioning is not required,” the ultimatum said.
KTC President P.Mongchua and Executive Chairman T. Khaikho Meyo appealed to the authority to either address the problem immediately or vacate the tower within one month from the issue of the ultimatum, and warned that failing to comply within the period, the council will not be held responsible for any eventuality arising out of public anger.
