Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur (KSUD) organised a career guidance programme at Premier Lodge, 4th Mile, on June 11 with Pesha, accounts officer and manager of North East Christian University (NECU), and Khumeng, additional director of Land Record, Dimapur, as the resource persons.
Delivering the presidential speech, K Buche Khiamniungan, encouraged the students to explore their capabilities and potential to uplift the union through their support and contributions.
An update from the union stated that a short speech was also delivered by president of Khiamniungan Union Dimapur (KUD), wherein he stressed on the importance of acquiring education and encouraged the students to follow their own interest and become not just job seekers but creators as well.
In the first session, Pesha spoke on ‘Entrepreneurship and skill development’ and emphasised on the importance of ever growing entrepreneurs in the state. He also highlighted the vast potentiality and scope of entrepreneurship through self discovery, academic approach and self-sufficiency.
In the second session, Khumeng has stressed on the need to focus primarily on both government and private sectors.
The event was chaired by the union executive secretary, Sambai K, while the invocation prayer was offered by L Bushai, pastor of Khiamnok Baptist Church, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by its general secretary, PL Chongsop.
