DIMAPUR — In an attempt to identify budding talents, the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, is hosting the Khelo India Rising Talent Identification (KIRTI) for several sporting disciplines in collaboration with Sports Authority of India, North Eastern Regional Centre, Imphal (SAI NERC Imphal).
The assessment test, which started on Saturday, will continue till May 1 at IG Stadium in Kohima, starting at 9 am daily.
An update from DIPR informed that assessment test for archery was held on April 26, while similar programmes will be held for athletics on April 27, wrestling on April 29, boxing on April 30 and football on May 1.
Interested individuals aged between 9 to 18 years have been invited to participate.
Athletes are required to bring their own gear and equipment, including appropriate footwear such as running shoes and sport-specific shoes like football cleats, tailored to their respective sports.
