Kiren Rijiju visits DG HQ Assam Rifles, Laitkor, Shillong

Dimapur, Oct.1 (EMN): The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju was on a two day visit to DG HQ Assam Rifles, Laitkor Shillong on Sep.30, 2017 informed a press note.
Accompanied by Director General Assam Rifles Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, Rijiju inaugurated the renovated Assam Rifles museum and visited various locations inside DG HQ.
In the evening Rijiju attended Dussehra Barakhana organised by Assam Rifles, where he spend time interacting with the troops, enquiring about their wellbeing and appreciating their work.
Rijiju during his second day of visit to HQ Directorate General of Assam Rifles at Laitkor, Shillong laid a wreath at the War Memorial and paid tribute to the Martyrs. He was accompanied by Lt Gen Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, DGAR and Maj Gen R K Gupta, ADGAR.
