Dimapur, May 9 (EMN): The 7th Assam Rifles (AR) of Kiphire organised annual music fest on May 8 at Helipad ground in Kiphire, under the banner “Prosperity through peace.” A press release received here on Wednesday updated about the event.
Welcoming the gathering, Commandant 7th AR said ‘it has always been the mission to create a festival that would shine a light on the amazing sound of Kiphire.’ The troops could not be more than happier as the music fest has brought music community and music lovers of the district together under one roof.
“Blending different cultures and enabling them to co-exist side by side and fostering synergies between them, without denying their origins is what artists can teach us,” the commandant remarked.
President of Gaon Bura Association Kiphire, Sepithong expressed his gratitude to AR for organising such platform for Kiphire musicians. He said ‘music is an instrument of peace, a language that transcend beyond cast, colour, creed, and religion.’
