KDFA, KDFRA celebrate pre-Christmas programme at Zhadima
Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) and Kohima District Football Referees’ Association (KDFRA) held a pre-christmas –cum– get together at Roko Angami’s Farm, Zhadima.
A brief programme was held, led by M Mathew Yhome, the president of KDFA; while executive member of KDFA, Pudil Tsükrü invoked the Lord’s blessings.
Yhome stressed on the need for the referees’ association, coaches’ department and the football association to coordinate, work closely and have good relationships for the welfare of football.
He also informed the gathering that at the last executive meeting of KDFA, it had unanimously approved to induct the presidents of KDFRA and coaches department to the KDFA team as executive members.
Kevingutuo Sekhose, the HOR of NFA, said that the gathering between the two associations was a first of its kind, which is a welcome gesture and thanked the KDFA.
He said the day’s gathering was not only about merry making but a special day for football as it is a sign that football would move forward, be uplifted and promoted not only in the district but beyond.
Roko Angami, President Nagaland Coaches Association and Sr. President, KDFA, in his speech acknowledged members for attending the programme despite their busy schedules especially during the festive season. He also challenged the gathering to take football to higher heights and be ready for the ‘Kohima District Football League 2023’.
Lhouliebei-o Khezhie, sr. referee, proposed a seminar to be held for better understanding and coordination by early next year and stressed to streamline and systemise football in the district.
