Dimapur, Aug. 3: A team from the Maurice Wylie Ministries (MWM) from Northern Ireland conducted a meeting and workshop for Naga farmers and entrepreneurs on August 3 in Dimapur.
A member of the ministry said Nagaland has the ability to have greater recognition across the world and be able to create partnerships not just internally in the state.
Comparing Northern Ireland to Nagaland as having almost the same population, the team members said that the two nations can be brought together under God and identify opportunities together.
Fair prices, funding social responsibility projects and building sustainable communities were some of the key objectives that were highlighted as an aim of the ministry.
Kakuto Assumi, a coffee farmer and a member of the Nagaland coffee board, also spoke at the event. He said to have been farming coffee since 1982 and has been running the business successfully.
Another organic tea entrepreneur Ahuka Wokhami spoke about the challenges as an entrepreneur in the tea business. He spoke about concerns from pests and insects to needing labourers.
