Inter-school quiz, painting competition held in Medziphema

Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): Medziphema Town Council organised an inter-school quiz and painting competition on environment in collaboration with the district administration at Town Hall, Medziphema on June 27.

ADC Thsuvisie Phoji welcomed the participants and explained the objectives of the competition at the event, informed an update from DIPR. He encouraged the students to look beyond bookish knowledge and build a relationship between schools and students through the quiz competition.

Stressing on the responsibility of each individual to spread the knowledge of preserving and conserving the environment, Phoji urged the students to educate the people and spread the “good news of protecting our environment.”

EAC Sentilong Ozukum conducted the quiz, which was divided into 10 rounds, and five schools participated. SFS School won the first prize, while King David and Government Higher Secondary School bagged the second prize and CPMS was placed third.

In the painting competition, first and second prizes went to Government Higher Secondary School and Modern Christian School won the third prize.

Winners were awarded with cash prize, while all the participants were given certificates.
