Indian Idol 2007 winner performs at Thuwu-Ni festival
As part of the Thuwu-Ni festival, Indian Idol 2007 Prashant Tamang Saturday performed tonight at the Ahuna Nite at Pughboto.
Prashant, who arrived from Kolkata reached Pughoboto on Friday evening and was part of the two-day Thuwu-Ni festival. Prashant, with his mesmerizing performance, enthralled the mammoth crowd gathered at Pughoboto Local Ground.
To the taste of the audiences, he performed some popular Hindi songs including Papa Kehete hai, La Khu. The Indian Idol 2007 was joined on the stage by Minister Vikheho Swu, Parliamentary Secretary Khriehu Liezietsu and Parliamentary Secretary Tohanba along with Alobo Naga and the DGP band.
Apart from the villages under Pughoboto sub-division, people gathered from far and near, even from the State capital to witness the performance of the Indian Idol.
The Ahuna Nite was graced by Khriehu Liezietsu, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, Music Task Force and State Lotteries as the special guest.
In his address, Khriehu lauded the organizers of Thuwu-Ni for making it a grant event. He informed that this year’s Handshake Concert would be held on November 27 at China.
Day-two of the second edition of Thuwu-Ni festival was also attended by 1st Class contractors Vilelie Khamo and Pele Khezhie, former Angami Public Organisation president Keneingunyu Sekhose, among others.
