In Appreciation…….. of the simple pleasures of life…

Hello folks,

I believe that life has so much to give if only we cared to give a little thought to the most minuscule of joys (which we’d find so much of) only if we’d stop looking at the looming discomforts and discontents.
So here I am, to share with you the simplest joys in my life as I have experienced some time in my life and those that I take as I face each day, at a time.

of the 5 Loaves and 2 Fish
“…..he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?…….”…. “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” John 6: 1-14

Is it five loaves or only two fish that I hold in my hand, I’m not too sure, but for whatever the measure, I stand humbly yet overwhelmingly thankful . I further feel positioned in deeper gratitude of the compelling urge that propels me to distribute and share it.About 25 years ago, a thought had me running. I ran hard and fast, far away from the contemplation and brainwave someone had had of training me to becoming a teacher.
Teaching was all part of a fun pass- time that launched me on this turf. I cannot however renounce the fact that those were moments of giving it my all, and I saw it boomerang in appreciation, which I accepted to be a form of adored approval and regard, nothing more. The concept of ever taking it on as a profession was not even worth a consideration to me.
On the course of my career, I kept a look out to make sure that I’d try anything and everything that was farthest from the semblance of an educationalist, and I did. But have it as you may, life’s path inescapably curved and bowed to lead me straight into that which I was doing my utmost to sidestep and evade.
The significance of this entire experience has piloted me to give earnest heed to each and every fragment of a morsel that I might enjoy, being always ready and set to give of it so that it may be blessed, multiplied and its remnants gathered in abundance.
I quote these words , as sung by Corrine May, to accentuate what I have determined:

“Take my five loaves and two fishes, Do with it as you will

All my burdens, my ambitions
You can use it all
