State Home Minister, Yanthungo Patton, alongwith the Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi, Jyoti Kalash, visited the project sites at RK Puram and Dwarka, New Delhi, on June 10 and inspected the ongoing work for the Nagaland Guest House at RK Puram and the staff quarters at Dwarka.
Although the pace of work has picked up at both the sites, yet there is a need to further speed-up the work, a press release issued by Jyoti Kailash, Resident Commissioner of Nagaland House, New Delhi said.
He said the basic structures at both the sites are nearing completion. As per the contractor, it would take almost 8 to 9 months to complete the project at RK Puram and 4 – 6 months to complete one tower consisting of 32 flats at Dwarka.
The Home Minister has directed the contractors to visit Kohima soon to sort out pending issues, if any. Further, the Home Minister also assured the contractors for an early release of funds on the condition that the projects could be completed within the time frame. He also cautioned to levy penalty on the contractors in the event of any time over-run.
