Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): Portrait Enterprise with support from DIPR and Tourism department organised ‘Hipfest’ on the theme ‘Colours of Nagaland’ at WW II area, Kisama, on December 1.
The chief general manager of State Bank of India (SBI), Vincent Menachery, inaugurated the Hipfest in the presence of commissioner and secretary of IPR, Maria Yanthan; additional director of IPR, DzüvinuoTheünuo; and joint director of IPR, Asangla Imsong and other officials.
Winners of the fest would be awarded with cash prize of INR 25,000, INR 20,000 and INR 15,000 respectively to the winners. There would also be five consolation prizes of INR 5000 each. Photo contest for juniors from class 10 and below would also be awarded with cash prize of INR 10,000, INR 7000 and INR 5000 respectively.
Artist Corner: The Artist Corner, organised by the department of Art and Culture at the World War II Museum, Kisama, has a total of 27 participants with 50 artworks including sculptures, oil paintings, modern arts and pencil sketches. The artworks are up for sale with prices ranging from INR 2,000 to INR 2,50,000.
Bamboo Pavilion: Advisor of Industries and Commerce, Labour and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Imnatiba Jamir, inaugurated the Bamboo Pavilion, organised by the directorate of Industries and Commerce at Naga Heritage Village on Thursday.
Around 110 stalls with hand-woven fabrics, decorative pieces, traditional items and others have been set up at the Bamboo Pavilion.
Craftscape: The principal secretary to the Chief Minister and Development Commissioner, Amardeep S Bhatia, inaugurated the Craftscape-The Naga Craft Portfolio 2022, organised by Tribal Weaves.
