Here is how you can change Alexa’s voice to a new one

Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): Amazon’s Alexa has been getting a lot of updates to its voice option settings including select celebrity voices and the latest update lets users change the voice to a male virtual assistant.

Alexa‘s voice had been exclusively female until the company rolled out the new update this week. Users can now opt for a masculine voice if they want and it is apparently called Ziggy.

Google has long had voices of different genders for its virtual assistants and the new update is a milestone in Alexa’s journey. Amazon‘s Alexa has had the same, familiar female voice since it launched back in 2013.

For those of you who want to change the female Alexa voice to the new male voice, you can follow the steps given below.

How to change Alexa’s voice?

• First, open the Alexa app.
• Go to the Devices tab, tap on Echo & Alexa option, then tap the name of your Echo device.
• Tap on the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the screen, scroll down to the General section, then tap on Alexa’s Voice option.
• Select the New option.

Alternatively, if you don’t want the hassle of doing it manually, you can simply say ‘Alexa, change your voice’.
