CRPF undertakes plantation drive across the state

Kohima/Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): The office of DIG (Ops) Kohima of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) planted over 5850 saplings of various trees in the last one month as a measure against global warming and pollution control.

An update from the forces stated that the month-long plantation drive culminated on July 25 with plantations at Kendra Vidyala (KV) CRPF, Kohima campus by the families, children and staff of  (Ops) Kohima range supervision of DIG (Ops) Kohima.

Further, it stated that face masks and soaps were also distributed to the children and families.

Meanwhile, 173 CRPF Battalion, Airfield Dimapur undertook plantation drive at Battalion Headquarters, BCS CRPF Chumoukedima, TC CRPF Dimapur and at CRPF Camp at Khensa, Mokokchung on Monday by planting various types of 1350 new sapling in the camp areas.

An update stated that the unit has been on the forefront in undertaking the mega plantation drive with the aim of restoring ecological balance and environment protection.

It said that the battalion aims to plant about 10,000 saplings within its various camps. Moreover, till date, about 8000 saplings have been planted by the unit in its mega plantation drive.
