Free archery coaching camp for girls at Chozuba

Dimapur, April 26 (EMN): MLA Dr. Chotisuh Sazo inaugurated a free archery coaching camp for girls under the flagship of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) at Chozuba in Phek district on Tuesday.

 It is being organised by district administration and DLCW- Mahila Shakti Kendra (BBBP), Phek in collaboration with Chakhesang Archery Association, an update from DIPR informed.

Speaking as the special guest, Sazo said that Nagas have the potential to win even in the Olympics. He said Chekrovolu Swuro, who participated in the Olympics, is from the area and the young sportspersons from the area also have the potential in rifle shooting and archery with proper discipline. He encouraged them to master their traits through the training camp.

Deputy Commissioner Phek, Razouvolie Dozo said games and sports are part of children’s life and one can make a livelihood through sports. He appealed to the young people to maintain discipline with enthusiasm for the coaching camp.

Nagaland Archery Coach, Hunezo Thisa shared the purpose of organising the free coaching camp at Chozuba.

Earlier, EAC Wetsho Lasushe chaired the programme while EAC Obangnener Jamir delivered the welcome address.

Demonstration by archery sportspersons led by archery coach was also held.
