ENPO to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday

Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) is scheduled to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Saturday in connection with its separate state demand.

The Home minister had invited ENPO to the national capital after the latter announced not to participate in any electoral process of the state or the Centre till their demand for “Frontier Nagaland” is granted.

In regard to Saturday’s meeting, all the churches within the eastern area have been requested to hold a special prayer programme at 4 pm on the day.

A tribal apex body executive, when contacted, told Eastern Mirror that the subject (of the talk) will depend on the Home Minister, while expressing hope that the meeting will be fruitful.

A source informed that Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, Health and Family Welfare Minister Pangnyu Phom and Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak had left for Delhi on Friday Dec. 2 in connection with the meeting, while Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and some legislators will arrive in the nation al capital on Saturday.
