Electronic Dance Music marks day-eight of HIMF 2015

Electronic Dance Music (EDM) marked the day-eight of the Hornbill International Music Festival 2015 at Hockey Ground, IG Stadium, Kohima. The EDM night was something special as the crowd, mostly youth, danced and enjoyed to the tune of the music presented by the featuring artistes that includes Jinx, Gavin, Amar feat Ruokuosanuo, Tali, Sunep, Akummika and Ina.
According to Gugs Chishi, project director of Music Task Force, the Electronic Dance Music is a new wave of music that is taking over the music world. “This is something the young people love. This music is going all over the world and draws big crowds,” Gugs said.The activities and programmes of the Hornbill International Music Festival will continue at IG Stadium till December 10. What still await is the ‘Country and Blues’ night on December 9, to be followed by the “Heralding Christmas’ night on December 10.
On December 9, there will ‘Country and Blues’ night. The featuring artistes are Lipok, Viva La Club, De Band, John Panmei and the Band, Mahila Band, Prolitarians, East Wind Wood Band, Purple Fusion and Cotton Country.
The Hornbill International Music Festival 2015 will come to a close on December 10 with the ‘Heralding Christmas’ night. Welcoming the Christmas season, the featuring artistes will entertain the audience presenting Christmas songs. The artistes for the culmination programme are Noune Kuotsu, Virie & Zaza, Oren Mozhui, Mengu Suokhrie, Power Faith, Incipit and Chakhesang Baptist Church, Ministers’ Hill, Kohima.
