Eastern Naga Students’ Federation decides to take ‘further course of action’ over NSSB Regulation
Says it received ‘stone cold response’ from P&AR department’ after its 30-day ultimatum
Dimapur, April 9 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has decided to take “further course of action” following the failure of the state government to address its demands for inclusion of exempted departments and posts under Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) Regulation, 2020.
The student body issued a press release stating that it received a “stone cold response” from the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department (P&AR department) to its 30-day ultimatum served to the state government on February 24 this year to fulfil its charter of demands. So, it held a crucial meeting with its seven federating units — Chang Wedoshi Setsang, Khiamniungan Students’ Union, Konyak Students’ Union, Phom Students’ Conference, Tikhir Students’ Union, United Sangtam Students’ Conference and Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako – along with ENPO, ENWO, ENSF advisors, legal advisors and intellectuals from eastern region, wherein the house, after threadbare discussion on the present content of NSSB Regulation, “unanimously resolved to proceed with further course of action until such exempted departments and posts are incorporated”.

The student body also updated that it had welcomed and the Tikhir Students’ Union (TSU) as the 7th federating unit of ENSF during the 21st Federal Assembly 2022 held at ITC DAN, Noklak on March 4.
It went on to inform that the induction programme of TSU was held at the Conference Hall, DUDA Guest House in Kohima on April 8, wherein Tiven Tikhir, Suchemshe and Jongyanthong were inducted as Asst. Gen. Secretary, Asst. Women Coordinator and Advisor respectively for the tenure 2021-2024.
