Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Dr. TM Lotha, expounded that DPDB is one of the most important organ in the district and requested all the HODs to be sincere and to dedicate themselves in the department’s activities. He also said anything that is approved and recommended by the board are taken due care in the state level.
Dr. TM Lotha said this while addressing the monthly meeting of the Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) on June 9 in the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Wokha, which was chaired by ADC, Wokha Sotsula.
Initiating the agenda regarding scenario of HIV/AIDS in the district, the quarterly report of the IBBS survey study as per APR presented to the house was recommended.
Proposal for construction of mini stadium at Wokha town submitted by the Education Department was discussed and recommended. The proposal submitted by the Chairman Lotha Hoho in regard to two days restricted holiday for the Lothas on November 6 and 7 on account of Tokhu Emong festival celebration was deliberated and recommended to the Government.
The long closure of the CMO Office, Wokha, was also discussed at length and decided to forward it to the Government for immediate intervention.
